Hi, my name is Jared Johnson (bio). I live with my wife in the Washington, DC area.
By day, I am a project manager for Academic Technologies, a department of The George Washington University. By night, I am an MBA student at The George Washington University School of Business.
I enjoy planning the implementation of new technology and reading about topics in the field of management, theology, sustainability, politics, and emerging technologies. I volunteer at my church as a sound engineer and a small group leader, I am a hack photographer, and a sports fanatic. I explore these topics and more on my lifestream site.

In honor of #snowpocalypse, #snOMG, and #snowmageddon, here is a photo of me and my sister Jessica playing in Grandma June and Grandpa Howie's backyard in Roseville, MN. (circa 1986-87) I am not sure why we were so "squinty" in this photo.
Headed back to DC after a night at my parent's new house at Bryce Mountain in Basye, Virginia. The new house is beautiful, and I saw a small deer while eating breakfast.

My official 10K (6.2 miles) time for Sunday's race was 57:45. I finished number 1580 out of 5110 finishers, and I was the 922nd male out of 1999. I am really pleased with the time and the pace (approx 9:19 min miles), especially since I only trained for the race for eight weeks. When I started the training, the maximum I could run at a time was around three miles.

Jessica and I drove to Cleveland to spend Labor Day weekend with her parents. We had a fun time seeing family and eating a lot of good food. I had my first Japanese hibachi experience at Otani restaurant with Jessica's grandparents.
We capped the weekend with a Labor Day brunch out in the backyard with The Beatles serving as our soundtrack.

Yesterday morning we had a great time out on the links for Adam's bachelor party golf outing. We played at Virginia Oaks Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia. It was my first time out on the golf course, so I wasn't too successful, but I had a lot of fun.
Adam is marrying my sister Jessica today in Reston, VA.
